So we built Backblaze's cloud backup for Mac using Apple's Xcode and put the controls in the System Preferences using a native interface. It doesn't matter if you are running macOS 10.8 or higher, Backblaze's online backup service will work for both. Due to Apple's increasing security measures for Mac OS (Mojave and onward), there is an additional step of distributing a configuration to allow the Backblaze client full access to the disk. This process is documented here. Mac OS 10.9 and above; Active Backblaze Group and are required for all deployments.

Now, long ago we’d call Transmit an “FTP client”, but today, with Transmit 5, we connect to lots of different server types and cloud services. For example, Amazon S3 dramatically changed the way files are served on the internet, and Transmit is a great way to manage your Amazon S3 buckets.
