UC Santa Cruz provides the Creative Cloud All Apps Suite to all active campus faculty, staff, and students. This productivity suite includes Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, Spark, and much more.

1. Open the exported PDF in Adobe Acrobat. Now Select Forms Start Form Wizard and choose 'Use the current document or browse to a PDF file,' then 'Use the current document.' Acrobat will instantly fill in the blank underlines and table cells with text fields and the checkboxes will become checkable.
2. The OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software that Acrobat uses to convert your design into a working form can only see clear, legible type and high-contrasting elements. The best way to ensure that your design is readable is to stick to a white background with black type for any info that needs to be converted.

If you're creating text fields, one thing InDesign doesn't letyou do, is add calculation capabilities and Acrobat of course does.Now, this next option isn't related just to text fields,but InDesign will let you change the type of a field.So, if you've made a radio button, you meantto make a check box, you can change the type of field.In Acrobat, if you've made that mistake, youhave to delete the field.

University-Owned Computers: ITS provides the Named User Creative Cloud desktop app with the management tool BigFix

• Mac: Accept the BigFix install Offer and locate Adobe Creative Cloud in your Application folder, run it, and sign-in to download, update or uninstall your Adobe software.
• Windows: Accept the BigFix install Offer and locate the Adobe Creative Cloud icon on your Desktop or in your Start menu. Open the App, and sign-in to download, update or uninstall your Adobe software.
• Lab or Shared Computer: A Shared Device License (SDL) can be installed on a UC computer that has multiple users. SDL is licensed to a device instead of an individual. Contact ITS Software for access.

Eligibility

All active UCSC students, faculty, and staff are eligible to use Creative Cloud.

University Extension students are not eligible for installation on personally-owned computers.

Creative Cloud is provided centrally by the campus at no charge.

Disabled Services

Adobe Sign cloud-based e-signature service is not enabled.

Adobe apps on iPads and tablets may have limited functionality due to our subscription plan.
